Candidates for PrTMS® Therapy in Roseville

If you have been living with depression, anxiety, or another mental health challenge for a long time, you may feel worn down by trying one treatment after another. Medications may not provide sufficient relief or may cause systemic side effects that are hard to manage. Talk therapy may offer insight but not the relief you hoped for. Over time, you may start wondering whether a more personalized approach could make a difference.

Candidates for PrTMS® therapy in the Roseville area are people who want tailored, thoughtful, and whole-person-centered care. Personalized repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (PrTMS®) therapy follows the approach that your brain, body, and life experiences all matter. Guided by the belief that the best candidates are those who believe in the benefits of personalized care, this approach aims to support meaningful, lasting change.

Why Is Personalizing TMS Important?

PrTMS® is a non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood, focus, and emotional balance. What makes PrTMS® different from standard TMS is that your own brain activity guides the treatment. This allows your care team to design a treatment plan based on how your brain functions, not on averages or assumptions.

When Roseville individuals consider PrTMS®, they often appreciate that they can attend sessions on an outpatient basis, and they remain awake and alert the entire time. There is no anesthesia, and most people can return to their normal routine the same day. PrTMS® is also medication-free, which can be appealing if you have struggled with side effects or limited benefit from drugs.

This practice uses a wholistic approach to mental health that follows a bio-psycho-social-spiritual model. TMS is one part of a broader plan that may include:

  • Time outdoors
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Nutrition support
  • Regular movement
  • Healthy spirituality
  • Breathing exercises
  • Strong relational connection

These elements follow the CHOOSE LIFE framework, and the goal is to support healing at a foundational level, not just treat symptoms.

Who Are Good Candidates for PrTMS® Therapy?

Good candidates for PrTMS® therapy often believe that personalized care matters. Perhaps you want to understand why your symptoms started and what keeps them going. You may want to explore lifestyle, stress, sleep, nutrition, and relationships as part of your mental health picture. Individuals in Roseville who may benefit from personalized TMS treatments tend to value collaboration and active participation in their care.

PrTMS® is suitable for people living with depression, especially when standard treatments have not provided enough relief. It may also be part of care for anxiety disorders or other conditions where brain regulation plays a role. While PrTMS® is not a cure and results vary, research supports its use as a tool to help improve brain signaling related to mood and emotional control.

You may be a good candidate if you are willing to commit to a course of treatment and to the broader wholistic plan that supports it. This approach works best when clinicians pair PrTMS® with healthy routines and ongoing support. During an evaluation, your care team will take time to understand your symptoms, history, and goals so that treatment feels aligned with your needs and values.
