What Is NeuroStar Advanced TMS Therapy?

NeuroStar Advanced TMS therapy is a top choice for mental health treatment. Backed by extensive clinical research with over 100,000 patients and nearly 6 million treatments, NeuroStar is a safe and effective option with no reported adverse effects—this is just one of the many reasons why it is the #1 doctor-recommended treatment.

Neurostar TMS sessions in Auburn are an advanced approach to treating mental health conditions such as depression, anxious depression, and OCD. This therapy targets the root of these issues—your brain—by delivering precise magnetic pulses to the areas responsible for regulating mood, behavior, and emotions. By enhancing brain function through this stimulation, TMS can help alleviate symptoms and improve your overall well-being. If traditional medications and psychotherapy have not provided the relief you need, TMS therapy might offer the breakthrough you have been seeking.

How Long Do NeuroStar TMS Treatments Take?

We offer FDA-cleared NeuroStar Advanced TMS Therapy in convenient 19-minute sessions at our Auburn office. Treatments typically span less than two months but can vary depending on individual needs and preferences. This treatment is designed to be accessible and comfortable—many patients find the process relaxing with minimal discomfort and no downtime. There is no need for anesthesia or sedation, and since it is non-surgical, there are no incisions or scarring. You can return to your daily activities immediately after each session, making it an easy addition to your routine. Unlike medication, it avoids side effects that can disrupt daily life.

Does Insurance Cover NeuroStar?

NeuroStar is covered by many major insurance providers, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare. Over 300 million Americans can access coverage, with financial reimbursement options available for qualifying patients. Our team can help you explore your coverage and reimbursement options.

Do NeuroStar Treatments Hurt?

NeuroStar treatments are generally well tolerated. You may feel a tapping sensation on your head during the procedure. While some people experience mild to moderate discomfort at or near the treatment area for the first week, this usually subsides after subsequent treatments when you become more accustomed to the sensation.

Does It Work?

Over 182,000 patients have received NeuroStar Advanced TMS treatments, totaling over 6.6 million treatment sessions. A study performed reported an 83% response rate, meaning 83% of patients who complete their treatment plan saw noticeable improvements in their depression symptoms.

The data also shows a 62% remission rate, which means 62% of patients who complete their treatment plan likely would not receive a diagnosis of MDD.
