Benefits of PrTMS® for Veterans in Roseville

Military service can shape your life in powerful ways, and sometimes those experiences continue to affect your mental and emotional health long after your time in uniform ends. You may carry stress, unresolved trauma, or the mental health challenges that come with major life transitions.

At Beautiful Minds Medical, our goal is to support you through a truly wholistic approach to mental health care, which includes PrTMS® treatment. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we work closely with you to understand what contributes to your struggles. From there, we develop a personalized plan that supports your mind, body, and spirit together. If you are ready to explore new options, you can learn more here about the benefits of PrTMS® for veterans in Roseville.

Understanding PrTMS® and How It Works

Personalized repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (PrTMS®) is a non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of your brain. The technology is similar to MRI imaging, though not quite the same. The purpose of the treatment is to help regulate brain activity patterns that influence mood, focus, and emotional stability. We use PrTMS® to treat common but difficult mental health conditions, such as

  • Major depressive disorder (MDD)
  • Depression with comorbid anxiety
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

Treatment is usually five days a week for about seven weeks at our Auburn office, though the exact timeline depends on your progress and individual needs. Each session typically lasts 30 to 40 minutes and does not require anesthesia. Because of this, most Roseville veterans can return to their normal daily routine immediately after experiencing the benefits of their PrTMS® appointment.

What Makes a Wholistic Approach Different?

A wholistic approach looks at your overall well-being instead of concentrating on one issue in isolation. At Beautiful Minds Medical, we guide the care of our Roseville veterans using a bio-psycho-social-spiritual model that recognizes how physical health, emotional experiences, relationships, and daily habits, along with PrTMS®, can combine to benefit mental wellness.

As part of our approach, we may encourage you to incorporate supportive lifestyle practices into your routine. These can include:

  • Improving nutrition
  • Getting regular physical activity
  • Adopting healthy spiritual habits
  • Spending time outdoors in nature
  • Trying hydrotherapy, such as cold plunges
  • Building stronger relationships with others

Small, consistent changes in these areas can strengthen resilience and support recovery over time.

Supporting Veterans Who Feel a Lack of Progress

Exploring other treatment options can sometimes lead to progress when other methods have stalled. PrTMS® offers an alternative approach that offers improved benefits. Trying something different can restore your hope and provide momentum toward better emotional balance and daily functioning. When your progress feels slow or inconsistent, having another option available can make a meaningful difference.

Personalized Care Designed Around Your Needs

No two Roseville veterans share the same story, and it may be helpful to understand that PrTMS® is not appropriate in all circumstances. Your experiences, health history, and personal goals are unique, and your treatment plan should reflect that. At Beautiful Minds Medical, your customized care is a priority, which means we build your program specifically to meet your needs rather than following a standard formula.

We take time to listen carefully, identify potential contributing factors, and design a plan that fits your life. Your care may include PrTMS® along with other supportive strategies that promote overall well-being and stability. Like any medical treatment, PrTMS® carries a moderate risk of side effects. Our ongoing attention helps ensure your treatment stays safe, responsive, and aligned with your needs.
